This video shows you a 4-Step exercise that will help you check how much your seat connection works inside the connection with the reins. Sometimes it's easier to have a seat connection when riding with no reins, but it can be a challenge to keep that seat connection when the reins are there! This exercise walks you through those four steps in a way that prioritizes self carriage so even when you ride with consistent contact, you and your horse will know that you are not using your reins to 'hold it together'.
This video is great for anyone who has trouble preserving lightness when riding in connection with the reins.
