In this video Karen explains a favorite on-line exercise for getting an impulsive, emotional horse to start thinking and get calmer. This exercise is great when you have a situation where you are with a horse who has at least some basic foundation, but you feel like you are not able to communicate with him because he is emotional. It is a way to cause your horse to start thinking, and it is a way for you to give your horse something to figure out with out needing to get stronger and louder with your aids!
