Learning Hindquarter Yields In Motion - June 2019
Lateral Work Riding

10m
Karen coaches two students to do Hindquarter Yields - In Motion while riding. This movement is an important building block that will help you and your horse learn how to connect the inside hind with the outside shoulder (Essential Gymnastic Ability #5!). This skill, when refined, will help you in all lateral movements. It will also improve your ability to ride straight, create engagement and alignment on circles.
Karen helps demonstrate the most common problems that students and horses face when learning this. This video is good for anyone who already has basic yields.
