Collectibility Exercise: Walk - Canter - Walk Transitions - Dec 2014
On Forehand
•
23m
Karen will show you one of her favorite exercises to develop better balance at the canter. By having a very particular focus in doing transitions from walk, to just a few strides of canter and back to walk, you and your horse can build some valuable skills that will increase your ability to collect. You will see how she uses it with Ovation (an advanced horse) to build towards canter pirouettes, but then also with 2 other horses in a much more basic way to improve their balance relatively quickly.
It is a powerful little exercise that has something in it for everyone
