Creating Self Carriage At The Canter - Dec 2019
On Forehand

In this video, Karen coaches a person new to Dressage Naturally and Natural Horsemanship to find a more harmonious balance with her horse. She had spent over 15 years doing dressage and not being able to solve the problem of her horse pulling down very heavily in the contact. She said that her other instructors did not let her try to improve the canter. I gave her and her magnificent 22 year old Curly horse a simple, important, and challenging exercise that would completely change their idea of how to create self carriage.
In the video I refer to a scene from a Monty Python movie. Here is a link to what I am referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liIlW-ovx0Y
This video is great for anyone who struggles with basic self carriage, impulsiveness and heaviness.
