Problem: I'm Working Too Hard
•
13m
Karen coaches two riders through a favorite lateral exercise. This exercise can be done for any lateral position (nose to the wall leg yield, shoulder-in, haunches-in, renvers, counter shoulder-in). In this video, we use counter shoulder-in. This exercise will create balance and responsiveness. It will build confidence for horses and riders who are learning lateral movements, and will increase precision and gymnastic nimbleness in more experienced horses and riders.
The two riders Karen helps are the same riders in the other video this month, Developing Hindquarter Yields In Motion. You will see how this exercise relates to the skill developed in the Hindquarter Yields In Motion. This video is great for everyone starting or already doing lateral work.
