In this video, Karen demonstrates how she uses both Positive and Negative Reinforcement while riding. (Negative Reinforcement means that a pressure is added and when the horse yields to it, it is released. Positive Reinforcement means a reward is given after the desired result). Karen will show how she combines these two methods of Pressure/Release and Reward to help the horse understand what is being asked, and to thank her for her efforts. Karen shows how she uses this to increase the amount of effort Natilla puts into her haunches-in. You will see how she quickly adds more effort in that movement, and in general.
