This video shows one of Karen’s favorite exercises. It is one of the rare moments when Karen is quite strict about the rules. Karen did a podcast about this exercise which you can find here: https://dressagenaturally.net/podcast-library/ep107-grid-exercise/
This is an exercise to improve your focus, decision-making, balance, and communication. You can customize how you ride this pattern to make it suitable for a young horse or a highly advanced horse. You can get a huge benefit by doing this by yourself, but it is also fun and valuable to do it with a group of other riders.
In this video Karen explains the exercise, then a group of riders do the exercise.
