Teaching Hindquarter Yield In Motion - May 2024
Short Videos (Under 15 min)

10m
In this video, Karen coaches a student and her new horse to find a better connection from the inside hind to the outside shoulder by using the hindquarter yield in motion. Karen does this exercise with this horse because he is very different one side to the other. This exercise will be the "medicine" he needs to improve his alignment within his body, and the rider will learn how to influence him in this way. This is a great video to see how to be very particular, yet still patient and happy with just small drops of progress. If you are unfamiliar with this movement you can watch: April 2015 Hind and Forequarter Yields In Motion with Shelby Hume.
