Karen plays with a lovely horse who has a history of getting tense and then explosive. She was brought in by the person helping this horse, in order to get more advice on how to help her. In this video Karen goes through some of the basic concepts that she would use, including how to get the horse's attention, and to create a reflex to relax ... All in a way that the horse does not feel trapped or controlled. You will see some of the small moments that are so important in building trust and relaxation, and if missed, will create increased tension.
