Relaxed Body in Collection At The Canter - July 2023
Transitions

In this video I coach a rider with her horse to find more relaxation within her body as she asks her horse to do transitions that require some collectibility. This pair is quite capable and lovely, but they both can sometimes hold more tension. It is really important that as movements become more demanding, the rider is able to be effective yet still relaxed and following with their seat. I love to help riders see they can get more done by doing less. There are a lot of great tips here for anyone who feels like they tend to work too hard.
