Developing Collectibility at the Trot on Long Lines Solana - May 2019

Observe a session on collectibility that Karen does with Solana in long lines. Solana is ready to learn a higher degree of collectibility. Her natural ability to collect at the trot is not as good as at the canter, so Karen likes to play with her from the ground to make it easier for her. This also allows Karen to observe her and notice smaller moments of improvement.
You will see the whole session from her warm up, to how Karen challenges her, to how she finishes the session as she seeks to improve 'the movement soon to be known as piaffe'.
This video is for horses who are very confident in the long reins and who have good working gaits. Even if your personal horse is not ready to practice this exercise, it is a great video to train your eye to see different levels of collection.
