Lateral Work Riding

Karen and Solana demonstrate how you can use riding down a hill to improve your half pass/haunches-in as well as your collectibility at the canter. Karen uses the hill to let gravity create more scope in Solana’s half pass at the walk as a warm up, then moves to collected canter. Karen canters down the hill striving to maintain the balance and self carriage of the canter. In order to do this going down a hill, Solana must collect! This builds great skills for canter walk transitions, canter pirouettes, and collection in general!
This video is great for anyone with solid working gaits who is beginning collection, or who is already working in collection!
